Starke County Community Foundation Invites Local Women to Social Gathering

The Hive Women’s Giving Circle is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to host its Annual Social Gathering on World Bee Day, Tuesday, May 20th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. CT at the Knox Community Center. Local women will come together to support meaningful causes through participatory philanthropy. Guests will receive updates from last year’s grant recipients, hear from this year’s finalists, and vote to determine how grant funds will be awarded this year.

All women are welcome to attend, whether you’re a current member of curious about how The Hive impacts Starke County. Membership is open to any woman passionate about giving back. Annual dues are $120, or just $60 for women 22 and under, making it an accessible way to make a big difference in the community.

“Sometimes, when you make a donation, you aren’t able to see how that money is spent,” said Jacque Ryan, SCCF Director of Development. “This is a wonderful way to see your dollars making a difference in real time. Each year, membership dues are utilized to support grants that go to organizations serving Starke County residents. These charitable groups help your friends, family, and neighbors. The collective impact we make through The Hive is felt in each and every one of their lives.”

The sooner members pay dues, the better! Knowing how much is available helps The Hive maximize the impact of this year’s grants.

The event is free to attend, and RSVPs are encouraged by May 11. To reserve your spot, email jillian@nicf.org or call 574.223.2228.
