26 Aug SCCF Grant Supports New Knox Outdoor Education Area
On Wednesday, August 23, Community Foundation officials attended the ribbon cutting for the Knox Community School Corporation’s Outdoor Education Area. This space situated behind Knox High School includes a fenced in garden area as well as a covered pavilion where classes can gather outside for relevant lessons. The Starke County Community Foundation granted $4,500 to help with the project costs.
SCCF Director of Development Jacque Ryan shared, “I am excited we have the opportunity to provide funding for projects that encourage people of all ages to go outdoors and enjoy the natural resources we have in Starke County.” She continued, “It’s so inspiring to coordinate with people who have such a passion for what they do and to see that drive and dedication shine through their projects!”
