SCCF Ambassadors Club Awards $1,000 to Hope Restored Recovery Home

The Starke County Community Foundation (SCCF) Ambassadors Club has awarded a $1,000 grant to Hope Restored Recovery Home to support the organization’s general operating costs.

Hope Restored provides safe, stable housing for men as they work toward recovery from addiction. The grant will assist with essential expenses including rent, utilities, food, and other costs that allow the home to remain a consistent source of support for its residents.

“We are beyond grateful to the Starke County Community Foundation Ambassadors Club for their incredible generosity! We continue to be blown away by the support we’ve received from so many in this community. The Starke County Community Foundation does so much to help connect and support so many people and organizations in this county, and we are blessed to be one of those,” the organization shared. “This donation will go towards assisting in the general costs of running and maintaining our home including rent, utilities, food, etc. It’s not cheap to house and provide for 8-10 men, so this is incredibly helpful!”

Hope Restored invites the community to its sixth annual fall fundraiser, The Harvest Hustle, on October 4 at Norwayne Field. The event includes a 5K run, walk, and dog walk, along with live music, food, bounce houses, and face painting. More information and registration details are available on the organization’s Facebook page and website at hoperestoredsoberliving.net.

The Ambassadors Club was created in 2021 during SCCF’s 25th anniversary year as a way to honor those who played a key role in founding and guiding the Community Foundation. Today, the Club continues to meet quarterly to discuss local needs and award surprise “pop-up” grants to charitable organizations making an impact. So far in 2025, the Ambassadors have awarded $10,000 to organizations in Starke County.

Grants like this one are made possible through SCCF’s community funds, which are currently eligible for a $2-for-$1 matching opportunity. Every $1 given to a new or existing community fund is tripled, helping SCCF support even more local projects now and into the future.
