20 Jun Read our Q&A with NICF Board President Doug Kuepper
Question: How long have you volunteered with the Miami County Community Foundation?
Answer: I started on the Grants Committee in 2009. I started on the Miami County Community Foundation in 2014. In 2018, I also came on the Board of the NICF.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being involved with the MCCF?
A: Several aspects, first a way for me to give back to the community, but also I enjoy keeping and making new contacts with members of the community.
Q: What is something you want people to know about the community foundation?
A: That every dollar counts and will be there to help continuously in our own county. Through the Foundation, your gift keeps on giving whether that is to a general fund, or a fund for a more specific need. With the Community Foundation, organizations and people are helped to fulfill their goals and wishes to make our community better.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I enjoy announcing several sports at Maconaquah which also keeps me busy. My wife (Trish) and I love riding motorcycles. This year will include a trip to Maine. We also enjoy spending time with our 2 children and our 2 grandkids!
Q: What do you love most about your community?
A: I was born and raised in Peru. I love our small town feel. Miami County has been a great place to raise our children. Our county has a lot to offer, yet we’re not far from larger cities and the options they bring as well.
