Lifetime Philanthropy Award

Lifetime Philanthropy Award

Fulton County donors showcased that kindness isn’t cancelled through the Community Foundation’s #GivingTuesday drive-thru event. During the event, donors contributed more than $97,000. The Foundation was also offering a $1 for $1 match up to $10,000 total for the Fulton County Promise Endowment to help our youth prepare for secondary education. The fundraising goal was met and exceeded due to generous donors.  All gifts that were made to the Fulton County Community Foundation will help to better the quality of life in Fulton County.

“#GivingTuesday helps us to think about what truly matters and to make a difference locally,” said Fulton County Director of Development Brian Johnson. “We are so grateful to the generous donors who participated in #GivingTuesday and support our efforts every other day of the year.”

The Fulton County Community Foundation (FCCF) created the Lifetime Philanthropy Award to honor those who have made a positive impact in our community through philanthropic efforts. The first ever award was presented on #GivingTuesday, December 1, 2020. The Lifetime Philanthropy Award went to Dick and Suzanne Belcher for their dedication to the Fulton County Community.

Words can on express all that the Belchers have done for Fulton County. Dick and a few other individuals were instrumental in bringing the Community Foundation to Fulton County. Over the years, Dick and Suzanne have supported the community through the Foundation by creating multiple endowment funds and dedicating time as board members and ambassadors. Their efforts will forever impact our community.

The FCCF is so thankful for the generosity of the community and of Dick and Suzanne Belcher.
