A $21,000 grant from the Starke County Community Foundation is helping Hope Restored Recovery Home open their doors after years of planning. The downtown North Judson home will be a transitional living facility for up to 10 men and will focus on helping individuals who suffer from substance use disorder by providing structured scheduling, therapeutic programming, self-help meetings, drug testing, and Biblical devotions.
On October 1, Hope Restored Recovery Home is hosting their annual Harvest Hustle Fundraiser. According to their Facebook, money from the SCCF grant combined with funds raised at the Harvest Hustle will support the recovery home’s first five months of operation.
“While I am honored to be able to present such a grant, all the credit goes to the incredible SCCF Grants Committee and the donors who dedicated their money to Community Funds that help generate impactful grants like this,” said SCCF Director of Development Jacque Ryan. “Thanks to all the Hope Restored staff and volunteers who have poured their hearts and souls into the facility renovation and program planning.”
