Heyde Retires as NICF Scholarship Coordinator

May 25, 2022

Alison Heyde is retiring this month after a decade as the Scholarships Coordinator at NICF.

“It’s been a great 10 years working in the world of scholarships here at the Northern Indiana Community Foundation,” said Heyde. “I have had the opportunity to meet so many students and staff from our many high schools that we support. I have truly enjoyed this position, and it’s quite bittersweet to leave.”

Civic-minded and hardworking, Heyde has been an influential member of Rochester’s community since she moved here in 1981. She was the Executive Director of the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce for 14 years, assistant coached tennis at Rochester High School, and served on many community boards. She and her husband David raised their two children, Randall and Mason, in Fulton County. Currently, she is a Woodlawn Hospital board member and a CASA volunteer along with being an active member and trustee at Grace United Methodist Church.

“I’m looking forward to spending time with family; I have 2 grandchildren here in Rochester and two in Mt. Prospect, Illinois,” said Heyde when asked what she’s most looking forward to in her retirement. “I also plan to play quite a bit of pickleball, read, and travel with my husband, David.”

There are many things to say about Alison Heyde; from her positive attitude to her work ethic and kindness, but as NICF Executive Director Jay Albright so accurately says, “She’s the best of the best.”

On behalf of the NICF, thank you for a fantastic 10 years!
