Food Pantry receives Pop-up Grant!

Another month, another pop-up grant! Thursday, February 11, the Community Foundation surprised their second pop-up grant recipient, North Judson Food Pantry, with a $1,000 grant. The North Judson Food Pantry, a ministry of the United Methodist Church, has provided food assistance to families and individuals in need for years and continued to serve during the height of the pandemic.

“We are impressed with North Judson Food Pantry and appreciate how they are serving the community. People rely on this organization to feed their families and we just want to show our support for the work they do, especially during the pandemic” said Jessica Martinovic, SCCF Director of Development.

This is the second grant in the Starke County Community Foundation’s monthly year-long pop-up grant series in celebration of its 25th anniversary! The Ambassadors Club, a subcommittee created of former board members of the Community Foundation, will choose a non-profit each month whose work they wish to honor with a surprise $1,000 grant.
