09 Aug Cups of Kindness

We have spent all year celebrating the 25th Anniversary for Starke County Community Foundation. We have given monthly Pop Up Grants to a number of local nonprofits but thought we could spread the love by supporting some local businesses and our community members. SCCF will be showing our appreciation with Cups of Kindness this October!
On October 1st, International Coffee Day, we’re partnering with Rabbit Coffee Roasting Company in Knox and Grand Central Perk in North Judson to thank community members for their support by covering the cost of a beverage and offering the first 50 customers at each location a free travel mug featuring our 25th anniversary logo! When discussing this idea with Rabbit owner Nathan Bradley, he said it reminded him of a time where there was a line of customers who participated in ‘paying it forward’. One customer covered the cost of the drink of the person in line behind them and the next person did the same and it just continued into the afternoon. That story, in addition to the countless others we’ve encountered over the years, exemplify the generous nature of Starke County and its residents. As people have established funds and scholarships to support local projects, programs and the needs of others, we are just beyond excited to give back to the public. Join us in recognizing our 25th Anniversary by celebrating community compassion this October during Cups of Kindness.
