21 Sep Boomerang Sisterhood Grants $6,000 at Annual Event

ng last Saturday during the annual Boomerang Sisterhood Women’s Giving Circle event. Over 30 women from the Boomerang Sisterhood, Miami County’s women’s giving circle, attended the event where the group granted $6,000 to local charitable organizations.
“Giving is a great unifier that inspires positive change and healing,” said Miami County Community Foundation Director Heidi Wright. “The Boomerang Sisterhood is a community of women dedicated to making Miami County a more beautiful and equitable place.”
The 2022 Boomerang Sisterhood grant recipients include Project Access, who will receive $2,000 for diabetes medical supplies, St. Vincent de Paul will also receive $2,000 that will go towards their new building renovations as well as Ivy Tech, who will receive $1,000 to assist students with tuition, and Ole Olsen that will receive $1,000 towards replacing stage lighting.
Boomerang Sisterhood members ages 8 – 15 pay $12 per year, members ages16 – 21 pay $60 per year, and member ages 22 and older pay a $120 yearly donation.
