Question: How long have you volunteered with the Miami County Community Foundation?
Answer: I think I am on my second term? I am not 100% sure. (We checked – it’s her 6th year on the board!)
Q: What do you enjoy most about being involved with the MCCF?
A: I enjoy working with the other board members and seeing how we really make an impact in the community. I started on the scholarship committee and then was asked to be on the board. Just like many people, I thought the Community Foundation was just about scholarships. It is great to be able to share with the community all that we do.
Q: What is something you want people to know about the community foundation?
A: The biggest thing I would like for people to know is that there are so many people working for the betterment of Miami County in so many ways.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: In my free time I love to spend time with my family, my husband Brian and son Trevor. We are huge sports fans and will always love the Chicago Bears and Indiana Hoosiers. I also crochet A LOT with my Goldendoodle puppy Phoebe by my side.
Q: What do you love most about your community?
A: I love the people of Miami County. I am not originally from the area, but have lived here more than half of my life now. This community is one of the most caring places I have ever been and that is evident with all of the great work this foundation does.
