The church’s GED program is designed to prepare adult English-as-a-Second Language students for the GED qualifying examination. This one-time grant will cover start-up costs to provide quality resources for the first 20 GED students and their volunteer instructors.
The program hopes to replenish costs by money received from students who purchase books on a pay-as-you-can basis. Some of the students have not had the benefit of secondary or post-secondary education, while others wish to professionalize their U.S. college education or prepare for post-secondary education at Ivy Tech or IUSB.
