My Hood Needz Me is an organization serving at-risk youth in Elkhart. With a focus on finding personal value, the organization and its volunteers strive to inspire inner greatness and actions benefiting the youth and the community in which we live. The grant from the community foundation will support character-building groups including 3LT (Little Ladies Loving Themselves) which teaches young girls about self-respect and empowerment and UGA (Urban Gentlemen’s Academy) which teaches young men about leadership and professionalism.
