Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County builds houses in partnership with qualifying partner families and sells the houses at no profit with zero percent interest mortgages. Our program also prepares partner families to become successful Habitat homeowners. Habitat’s ReStore sells new and used building materials, appliances and furniture at 50% to 90% below retail prices; items are donated by local retail businesses, building contractors, suppliers and individuals. Sales proceeds go to build houses with families in our community. The ECCF grant is in support of our ReStore restoration project: new exterior and interior painting, energy-efficient lighting, new product racks and more.
