greenLockers partners with schools to collect new and slightly-used school supplies, books (and clothes) during the year-end locker clean-out days. Students collect and sort all the materials which are warehoused, then offered to local charities at no charge. Any remaining goods are distributed nationally or globally to children/students in need.Through the distribution of these supplies, greenLockers not only facilitates education and helps the environment, but we also enable students to build community, gain courage and break out of cycles of poverty. The grant from ECCF provides for the purchase of designated collection containers for Elkhart County schools.
