GIHN is a flexible, cooperative ministry providing an opportunity for the community to be actively involved in caring for the needs of homeless families, primarily by providing emergency shelter. This is accomplished with the support of 18 area churches utilizing their facilities and congregational volunteers serving families seven nights a week from 5 pm to 7 am.
The grant will fund an imperative technology upgrade to purchase three PCs, a laptop, printer (with fax and copy capabilities), networking equipment, projector and screen. This will facilitate productivity, increase on-site staff training opportunities and improve visual support for both public presentations and in-house case management.
