Elkhart’s Salute to Veterans was a World War II reenactment sponsored by the City of Elkhart on May 16, and May 17, 2015. The reenactment featured authentic equipment and uniforms from the war to maintain the historical accuracy of the event. The grant from the community foundation supported this reenactment in an effort to honor those who have shown bravery and honor in the name of their county.
