Christ’s Commissary, Inc.’s mission is to better serve the Elkhart-area community by providing nutritional assistance and by helping to supply food items not easily afforded by the unemployed, underemployed and other people struggling due to unfortunate circumstances.
In order to serve the community more efficiently, grant money from ECCF will enable it to purchase more food, specifically more protein and more fresh produce. Christ’s Commissary food pantry is currently serving about 200 families a month, translating into approximately 850 people being fed.
