Spirit of 1976 Scholarship Fund

18 Jan Spirit of 1976 Scholarship Fund

Established in 2016 to provide scholarships for graduating seniors of Peru High School.

This fund has raised $2,960.59 of its $10,000 goal.

A note from the founder:

A big thanks to those who have taken the time to contribute toward the “Spirit of ’76 Scholarship Fund.” We are well on our way toward our goal of $10,000.00. Once we reach our goal, we will have an annual gift to present to a Tiger who is intellectually capable, but who needs financial assistance to get into a post secondary institution. Let’s give back and make a difference, one child at a time. And remember…Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!

We are excited to share that one of our classmates is willing to match our donations dollar for dollar up to $4000.00. He has asked to remain anonymous. This is just the Spirit of ’76 that we envisioned a couple of years ago and makes me proud to be a PHS Tiger! Our generous donor has asked that his matching funds be done in memory of two classmates, Jim Faust and Kim Hartleroad.  We are extremely grateful for his gesture.  This means that for every dollar we donate, he will donate a dollar to match up to $4000.00. Wow!
