Terri Johnson
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Executive Director

Terri has been involved with the Fulton County Community Foundation since inception in 1993. She took the helm of the Northern Indiana Community Foundation as the Executive Director and began serving all three counties in September of 2002. She has an accounting degree, as well as extensive background in finances and management. Prior to her employment at NICF, she was a co-owner of Akron Concrete Products and worked as a commercial loan officer for Farmers State Bank. She rounded out her business degree and her administrative and financial background with training through the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University with a certificate in Fund Raising Management.

Jessica Mikel
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Office Manager

Jessica joined the Northern Indiana Community Foundation in July of 2011. She brings with her several years of administrative and database experience. Prior to joining the NICF team she was an Administrative Assistant at Ambassador Enterprises and served seven years as a Database Assistant in the Advancement Department at Grace College.

Corinne Becknell-Lucas
Northern Indiana Community Foundation
Program/Scholarship Coordinator

Corinne began work with the Community Foundation as the Starke County Administrative Assistant in January 2002. She has a background in music and media production. In 2006, she took on the position of NICF Program/Scholarship Coordinator. She oversees all three counties grant and scholarship cycles.

Brian Johnson
Fulton County Community Foundation Director of Development

Brian joined the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, Inc. team in October of 2007. Prior to working for the Community Foundation, Brian was the Cylinder Head Department Supervisor at Gaerte Engines. He brings with him a strong background in customer service, and a lot of enthusiasm for Fulton County.

Mary Alexander
Miami County Community Foundation Director of Development

Mary joined the NICF team in October of 2008, as the Associate Director of Miami County Community Foundation.

Mary brings over 25 years experience as a senior planner and project manager in the financial services industry. Most recently, she served as the operations director for the Alexian Brothers Foundation.

Sarah Origer
Starke County Community Foundation Director of Development

Sarah joined the NICF team in December of 2011. She earned her BA in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado, and held a fellowship with the John Jay Institute for Faith, Society, and Law. In 2008 Sarah worked at The Heritage Foundation, in Washington D.C.and most recently as an admissions counselor at Saint Joseph’s College.
